Editorial Team
Today C-News stories carry launch-edition desk bylines rather than staff profiles.
Last updated 2026-10-05
Readers often want to know who is behind the news they read. This page explains how bylines work on Today C-News during our launch period, and why we do not publish staff biographies yet.
Launch-edition desk bylines
Stories published at launch carry one of five names: Sarah Jenkins, Marcus Chen, Elena Rostova, David Vance and Noah Vance. These are launch-edition desk bylines. They identify the desk or editorial voice responsible for a piece during the launch period. We do not attach biographies, photographs, career histories or personal details to them, and we ask readers not to infer any.
Why we keep it simple
Our launch stories are explainers that rely on illustrative composite examples. Inventing detailed backgrounds for the names that appear on them would add nothing for readers and could be misleading. When the newsroom has named reporters and editors whose work and credentials we can describe accurately, we will introduce them here.
How the desk is organised
We plan to organise coverage around the five areas readers see in our navigation:
- Digital commerce
- Crypto markets
- AI and technology
- Fintech
- The green economy
Each area is edited with the Editorial Standards in mind. Editors are responsible for checking facts, labels and tone before publication.
What we do not claim
We do not state how many people work at Today C-News, and we do not list awards, partners or investors. We will add that kind of information only when it is true and we can document it.
Responsibility
A byline is not a shield. Whoever's name appears on a story, the publication as a whole is accountable for it. If you believe a story contains an error, write to [email protected] and see the Corrections Policy for what happens next.
Join the conversation about coverage
Tips, story ideas and feedback are welcome. Please use [email protected] for news tips and corrections, and [email protected] for general feedback. The site has no comments section and no reader accounts, so email is the best way to reach us.
Looking ahead
As Today C-News grows, this page will change. We expect to add real staff profiles, clear descriptions of editorial roles and a plain statement of how decisions are made. Until then, treat the desk bylines as labels for launch-edition content, nothing more. If you are a journalist or specialist interested in contributing, you can introduce yourself at [email protected], though we cannot promise a reply or a commission while we are still building the publication.
