‘Beauty in Black’ Season 4 Is Officially Coming — And the Bellarie Family’s Most Dangerous Secrets May Be Far From Over
The Bellarie family is not going anywhere just yet.
After Netflix previously indicated that Beauty in Black would conclude with its third season, the streaming giant delivered a major surprise in July 2026 by renewing Tyler Perry’s drama for Season 4. The unexpected reversal gives fans another chapter in the turbulent story of Kimmie, Mallory and the powerful but deeply dysfunctional Bellarie family.
The timing of the announcement was particularly significant. Season 3 arrived on Netflix on August 27 with eight episodes, and unlike the previous seasons, it was released as a single installment rather than being divided into two parts. The season pushed the characters into an increasingly dangerous struggle involving power, revenge, family conflict and buried secrets.
At the center of the story remains Kimmie Bellarie, portrayed by Taylor Polidore Williams. Her journey has taken her far beyond the life she once knew, placing her inside an influential family whose wealth and status conceal years of dysfunction and conflict.
Season 3 intensified that transformation. Kimmie found herself with a genuine position of power within the Bellarie world, but gaining influence proved much easier than keeping it. Her unexpected alliance with Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart, created one of the season’s most intriguing dynamics. The two women were forced to navigate a world where alliances could change quickly and trust could become a liability.
The Season 3 finale only made the future more uncertain.
A violent confrontation left the fates of several major characters unclear. Horace and Norman were both seriously injured, while a chaotic shooting at Rain’s club created even more unanswered questions surrounding Kimmie, Mallory and Rain. Meanwhile, Jules escaped and began pursuing revenge connected to the death of his son, opening another potentially explosive storyline.
