‘Beauty in Black’ Season 4 Finally Has a Major Update — Netflix Reveals What’s Next After Season 3’s Explosive Ending, but Fans May Not Be Ready

Fans of Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black do not have to worry about saying goodbye to Kimmie Bellarie just yet. Netflix has officially renewed the hit drama for Season 4, reversing its earlier plan for Season 3 to serve as the conclusion of the series. However, despite the renewal and growing speculation online, one important detail remains unavailable: Netflix has not announced an official Season 4 release date.
The renewal itself was announced in July 2026, weeks before Season 3 premiered. That decision immediately changed expectations surrounding the Bellarie family saga. Rather than closing the story, Netflix has given Tyler Perry another opportunity to explore the rivalries, secrets and power struggles surrounding Kimmie and the Bellarie empire.
Season 3 only made the situation more dangerous.
Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, entered the new chapter with considerably more influence than she had at the beginning of the series. Her complicated relationship with the Bellarie family and her alliance with Mallory, played by Crystle Stewart, placed both women at the center of an increasingly unstable battle for control.
But power inside the Bellarie empire has never been secure.

The Season 3 finale pushed that instability to another level. A violent confrontation involving Horace and Norman left their fates uncertain, while Jules emerged as a major threat after orchestrating an attack on Make It Rain. The club became the scene of a devastating shootout, leaving several characters’ futures unresolved. Netflix’s own ending explainer confirms that the finale deliberately leaves the Bellarie empire hanging in the balance.
That cliffhanger gives Season 4 enormous room to escalate the story.
Kimmie could enter the next season facing a completely different kind of battle. Even if she survives the violence surrounding the Season 3 finale, maintaining control may prove more difficult than taking power in the first place. The collapse of old alliances could also force her into unexpected partnerships, while surviving members of the Bellarie family may begin competing for whatever remains of the empire.
Mallory could become equally important. Her relationship with Kimmie has always been complicated by ambition and mistrust, meaning their alliance could eventually fracture under pressure. Meanwhile, Jules and Gina have the potential to become increasingly dangerous forces as the consequences of Season 3 continue to spread.
For now, fans should be cautious about social-media posts claiming that Season 4 already has a confirmed premiere date. Netflix has confirmed the renewal, but the streamer has not yet revealed the Season 4 release schedule, episode count or complete returning cast.
What is certain is that Beauty in Black is no longer ending with Season 3. After a finale filled with shootings, betrayals and unanswered questions, Season 4 has the opportunity to make Kimmie’s fight for power even more dangerous — and potentially much more personal.
