Meghan Markle isn’t ‘in touch’ with ‘Suits’ TV hus...

It’s never too late to reach out.

“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams is shedding some light on his relationship with former co-star Meghan Markle after she left the show in 2018.

The 43-year-old actor said that he and the Duchess of Sussex “are not really in touch” after a fan asked him “Is it weird now that your costar is now royalty? Are you still in touch?” on a Reddit thread on Oct. 6.

“She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons,” Adams continued.

Markle left the legal drama “Suits” after Season 7. Her departure was announced in November 2017 and she went on to marry Prince Harry in May 2018. Adams and his wife, actress Troian Bellisario, were invited to the Windsor Castle nuptials alongside the rest of the cast.

In 2020, the couple stepped down as working senior royals and currently reside in Montecito, Calif., with son Archie, 5 and daughter Lilibet, 3.

“She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons,” Adams said in a Reddit thread.

After launching a podcast for “Suits” with co-star Sarah Rafferty, 51, who played Donna Roberta Paulsen on the USA Network show, Adams said Markle, 43, reached out.

“Upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way,” the actor wrote in the thread.

He added: “[It was] so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”

On a second episode of the rewatch podcast, the “Plan B” actor spoke about the royal’s audition and landing the role of Rachel Zane.

Adams and Markle played love interests on the show, which ran from 2011 to 2019, and even had an onscreen marriage.

Before “Suits,” the pair filmed a “terrible, terrible pilot” together.

“There was a setting up of a romantic relationship in the pilot of that particular pilot too,” Adams recalled. “And then we never saw each other again. The pilot failed. It was terrible and went away. And so we had never seen each other nor spoken to each other again.”

Adams said that Markle reached out to him after hearing about the new “Suits” rewatch podcast

Adams, who booked the role of Mike Ross, was surprised to see Markle during one of his chemistry reads

“She was right there and she said, ‘Hi.’ And I went, ‘Oh my God! So good to see you!’”

Adams says that filming the pilot helped the pair connect during the chemistry read and helped Markle land the role.

Adams and Markle had previously met each other while filming a pilot before being casted in “Suits.”

Adams and Markle played loved interests on the popular USA Network drama series.

“And so I think just knowing each other and getting to calm down and not have those nerves of just getting to know one another really helped that chemistry read,” he explained. “And it was just clear that we had an easygoing thing when we went into that room.”

During the podcast episode, the “NCIS” star gushed over Markle’s acting skills, saying that she was “head and shoulders above the competition.”

“[I]t was pretty clear, if I remember correctly, that she was going to get the part from the minute we did the chemistry read,” he recalled. “It was just so much easier than it was with anybody else.”

Rafferty recently told Entertainment Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex is amongst many who have been invited as a guest for the podcast.

“Everybody’s invited, and everybody has been so supportive,” Rafferty told EW on Oct 6. “It’s amazing. I’ve just been texting one of our directors, Mike Smith, Rachael Harris had some comments on our Instagram Live this morning, cannot wait for Sheila Sazs to be introduced into the show. I can’t wait to talk to Max Beesley and all the British actors that we had.”

Adams and Rafferty will be watching and recapping the drama series episode-by-episode, sharing their experiences from filming, and interviewing former cast and crew members.
