Taylor Swift has largely kept out of the public eye since the end of her record-breaking “Eras Tour” in December. But on Saturday, the 14-time Grammy winner made a rare return to social media with a passionate endorsement of her best friend, Selena Gomez. The “Karma” singer had been absent from Instagram for months, leaving fans eager for an update.
Swift ended that silence in the most Taylor way possible, with a straight, all-caps declaration of love for Gomez’s new album, “I Said I Love You First.” Her nine-word message, “I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD,” quickly caught fire among fans, amplifying the excitement around Gomez’s latest musical release.

Swift and Gomez have been close since 2008, consistently supporting each other’s careers. When Gomez announced her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco in December, Swift was among the first to comment, joking that she’d be the flower girl. Now, she’s clarifying that she’s just as enthusiastic about Gomez’s return to music.
Gomez’s fiancé, Blanco, recently shared his newfound appreciation for Swift’s music while promoting the album “Hot Ones.” Though he admitted he wasn’t a die-hard fan before dating Gomez, he’s since embraced Swift’s discography. “Now I’ll be like, ‘Put that song on’—how does that one go again?” Blanco said, adding that their car rides often turn into singalongs of Swift’s older tracks.
While Swift hasn’t shared much about her plans, fans are thrilled to see her supporting her friend. Her social media silence had sparked speculation, especially with boyfriend Travis Kelce making frequent public appearances. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been busy with his podcast, “New Heights,” alongside his brother, Jason Kelce. Meanwhile, Swift has been staying low-key after wrapping up one of the biggest tours of her career.
With one post, Swift not only reaffirmed her bond with Gomez but also reminded fans she’s always paying attention. Whether singing along in private or sharing her excitement online, her influence remains as strong as ever.
