“Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else”: Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool Facing MCU’s Spider-Man is More Possible Than Ever Before After Shawn Levy’s Uplifting Comments

Deadpool to yoke with Spider-Man next? At least that’s what Shawn Levy wants!

Deadpool is easily ranked as one of the most famously fan-beloved characters from Marvel Comics, and Ryan Reynolds’ excellent portrayal of him for the big screen has further elevated his status.

As fans already know, this incredible fame continues to grow for this respective anti-hero all the more with his upcoming movie showing him teaming up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

But, as it seems, that isn’t the only major superhero that filmmakers want Wade Wilson to pair up with. The next one in line is seemingly Marvel’s Peter Parker.

This comes after filmmaker Shawn Levy recently expressed his heartiest wishes regarding this, which would sound like uplifting comments to all those fans out there who were desperately awaiting this team-up!

Recently, Levy did an exclusive interview for Total Film‘s latest June issue, during which he let out how he would love to see the profanity-filled Wade Wilson team up with the friendly neighborhood superhero Peter Parker in a more chaotic and equally entertaining turn of events.

Initially explaining how Ryan Reynolds‘ superhero perfectly brings it to the table simply with his wit, the filmmaker said: The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity.

That said, things would effortlessly get even more exciting (even though presumably messy as well) when he has to team up with Tom Holland‘s over-excited teenage superhero.

Continuing to share his perspective on this very take, Shawn Levy then revealed: Boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.

That most certainly sounds like Wade facing Marvel’s Parker is more likely than ever before.

As fans must be able to already tell, the mastermind Levy has seemingly done an immaculate job with the upcoming addition to Wade Wilson’s film series, considering all the records the presumed masterpiece has broken even before its release.

That being said, simply the prospect of a spidey-DP face-off from him sounds like it could turn out to be an actually incredible piece of work, especially if it includes Holland and Reynolds in their respective roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But that’s not all, because there is one more character that the visionaries behind D&W want Reynolds’ anti-hero to go toe-to-toe with: Titania.

For the same interview, D&W executive producer Wendy Jacobson also expressed whom she wants Reynolds’ anti-hero to lock horns with. Her response? The criminal mercenary and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law villain, Titania.

Explaining her choice behind having these two respective characters share the screen, Jacobson said about Jameela Jamil‘s character: She’s such a heightened, hilarious character and also an actor who can improv and is razor-sharp and can banter.

Adding, she heaped praise on Reynolds and how immaculately he has aligned his personality to fit his character for the big screen to emphasize how pretty much no one can face off against him but someone as fierce and outspoken as Titania.

Jacobson said: I can’t imagine being an actor, period, but I can’t imagine having to work opposite someone like Reynolds, who is just so quick and so smart and so funny all the time – but that woman could handle it.

Well, for what it’s worth, it’s only true that very few characters can channel the same energy as Wade Wilson in the Marvel Universe, and Titania is most certainly one of those few. That said, seeing her share the screen with Wade Wilson would truly be an amusing experience.
