Eminem‘s daughter Hailie grew emotional talking to her sibling Stevie, 21, about their childhood and new relationship on her podcast Just A Little Shady.
Hailie, 27, was discussing Stevie’s birth and boyfriend on season two, episode 11 of the show.
Stevie is gender fluid and uses they/them, he/him, and she/her pronouns, with a preference for the former two.
Hailie chooses to use she/her for Stevie, and titled the episode ‘Catching Up with my Little Sister STEVIE!’
Stevie is the biological child of the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Scott – who was recently seen for the first time in four years – and was adopted by Eminem in 2005.
On the show, Stevie mostly spoke about their long-term boyfriend Jace, 22, whom they started dating around the time they revealed they were gender fluid.
Discussing their new relationship, Stevie said: ‘He moved in with me last year, like December. It’s going really well, we’ve been together like two years now.
‘It’s a pretty hard thing but it’s a lot easier and it’s worth it once you get to live together and actually experience those things.’
Before that, the pair were in a long-distance relationship ‘for a while’ which sister Hailie said she found ‘crazy’.
Stevie explained: ‘It’s hard, but I feel like if you really have a connection with someone it can work, especially if you make time for it to work.’
The emotions really started to come out when Hailie started discussing Stevie’s birth and childhood.
‘I was so happy to have a little sister,’ she said, adding: ‘Oh my God, am I going to get emotional – I’m old!
‘But – I don’t know – we always talked about how we loved babies and stuff, so when I was born I was like “a baby, for me!”
Moving onto Stevie’s later years, Hailie shared: ‘I just remember like – I don’t know – I feel like you were so unfazed growing up.’
Stevie also opened up about their hobbies, revealing that they read to kindergarten (reception) children and volunteer at an animal shelter.
Back in 2021, Stevie revealed that Eminem lied about being their biological father.
In a now-deleted TikTok video, Stevie wrote that they were told Eminem was not their real dad and that they were adopted.
Stevie confronted Eminem and he responded: ‘I am your real dad.’
Stevie then claimed they were sent ‘an article of my biological dads death [sic],’ which they showed to their grandmother, who said: ‘I’m sorry they wouldn’t tell you about him.’
Their biological father is Eric Hartter, but when Kim and Eminem got back together in 2005 the rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, adopted Stevie as his own. The couple remarried in 2006 but were divorced again by the end of the year.
Hartter died in August 2019 from a cocaine and fentanyl overdose in an abandoned house in Detroit, Michigan following years of drug addiction.
