Gavin Casalegno is married!

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, The Summer I Turned Pretty star, 25, announced that he and his girlfriend Cheyanne, 23, tied the knot by sharing pictures from the ceremony in an Instagram carousel.

“FOREVER CAPTIVATED BY YOU🕊️,” he captioned the post, tagging his new bride.

While fans congratulated him on his wedding in the comment section, others pointed out that Casalegno has never publicly confirmed their romance until now.

“Okay hard launch !!!!!” one fan wrote. “SHOCKKKKKKKKKK,” commented another. “Since when was he engaged😭😭😭,” a third social media user wrote.

PEOPLE has reached out to Casalegno’s representative for comment.

The actor’s marriage comes after his relationship with model/actress Larsen Thompson, whom he dated for over six years. While Casalegno never announced their breakup, J-14 reports that it occurred in August 2022.

Although it is not known when the newlyweds’ relationship first began, a man who appears to be Casalegno could be seen in an Instagram photo Cheyanne posted from Asia in September 2023.

The same man could be seen in travel photos Cheyanne posted that November and December.

When asked if he would ever date a fan during an interview with Cosmopolitan in June 2023, Casalegno said “probably not,” and shared that he would “prefer dating someone who isn’t in the social media space at all.”

“I think that would lead to a lot less problems, to be blunt,” he added.

In an interview with Shondaland that July, Casalegno shared that while he is a “big people person,” his rising fame has taught him to be “more private.”

“I definitely have just learned to be more private, which is super-interesting because I’m always out in public,” he said. “I had to really learn to navigate my own privacy and well-being.”

“So, the quick fix for me is just deleting Instagram and all these apps to kind of check out, to be with my family and be with myself, to spend some time with the Lord — that’s really where I thrive,” continued Casalegno.
