Daisy Fuentes Confused Prince Harry For His Estranged Brother Prince William -- OOPS!

Well this is awkward… to say the least…

Remember Daisy Fuentes? The model/MTV VJ has become a philanthropist later in life, which is great! But it seems she stopped paying much attention to celebs? The ’90s icon was at the One805Live! fundraiser in Santa Barbara, California on Friday night to raise funds for first responders who do great work in that coastal community. Her husband, singer Richard Marx, was also there to perform on stage at the charity event. And it gets more exciting… Prince Harry showed up, too!

Except the thing is… it wasn’t entirely clear that Daisy knew which royal fam member he was… because in a social media post that evening, she tagged his estranged brother Prince William! OOPS!

Per Us Weekly, Daisy posted an Instagram Stories video on Friday night from the event. In it, she showed the 40-year-old Harry walking up to her 61-year-old husband after his performance to say “well done.” Nice! But there was a catch: Daisy tagged William and Princess Catherine‘s IG account (@princeandprincessofwales) in the vid, and NOT Harry and his wife Meghan Markle‘s account as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (@sussexroyal)!

Yikes!

With Harry and William so deeply on the outs, mixing up their IG accounts in tags is… not ideal. Talk about a cringeworthy moment! But also, to be fair to Fuentes, Harry and Meghan haven’t used their @sussexroyal account since March of 2020. It has been inactive, so perhaps she searched ‘royal family’ or something and the active Wales account was the one that popped up. An understandable mistake, if so!

Regardless, it was definitely an awkward stumble considering the brothers’ high-profile estrangement. Per Us Weekly, Daisy did not address the mix-up this weekend. And a check of her Insta on Monday morning shows no acknowledgement of the mistake, either. So she seems to have just let it fade away on its own. Not a bad move considering Stories expire anyway…

Still a surprising snafu considering the context, tho. What do U think, Perezcious readers?? Sound OFF with your thoughts in the comments (below)!!!
