Popular YouTuber Patrick Cc: recently dropped a new video looking at “The Only Beef Eminem Could Not Handle.” Despite a history of decimating opponents in rap battles and beefs, pop star Mariah Carey proved to be Em’s biggest challenge.
In the early 2000’s, rumours had circulated about the two artists had been briefly connected romantically. Eminem didn’t deny it—saying “there’s some truth to that” during an interview with The Rolling Stone, but Mariah claimed in multiple interviews, including with Larry King on CNN, that this was not the case.
Eminem took several shots at Mariah on his 2002 album, The Eminem Show, and, in turn, Mariah released the Charmbracelet album later that same year. The album featured the Dre and Vidal-produced “Clown” which was a response to Em’s “Superman” and comments he made in the media.
Some years past, but the feud continued, with both artists making several moves that would antagonize the other.
Patrick Cc: dives into the two superstar’s complicated relationship, or lack thereof, and why Mariah is seen as one of Em’s biggest challenges to date.
