Kim Kardashian seems to have cancelled her planned business collaboration with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, causing frustration for the Sussexes as they suffer another setback in the quest to make it away from the British Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been diligently working to establish their presence in Hollywood, with projects like a podcast and content for Netflix, since their infamous split from the UK’s monarchy.

However, the couple has faced mounting criticism and controversy in recent months. Their recent Netflix production, Polo, was a disappointment, and a harsh Vanity Fair article further scrutinized their public image.

Although there is hope with the upcoming With Love, Meghan documentary, amidst this turbulence there are reports suggest that some A-list celebrities are distancing themselves from the pair, and Kim Kardashian is among them.

“Unfortunately, there’s a perception that Meghan and Harry are a couple of real try-hards,” a source revealed to Vanity Fair of the 40 and 43-year-old couple.

At one point, it appeared that Meghan and Harry might have formed an alliance with the Kardashian family. In April of the previous year, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was seen socializing with Kim and Kris Jenner.

Later, the Duke and Duchess met Kris during Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi‘s vow renewal celebration. But despite initial enthusiasm, Kim Kardashian seems to have shifted her stance.

“As much as Kim respects her mum Kris’ choice to support them,” a source told Closer Magazine. “She doesn’t want to be associated with anyone that’s controversial unless they really are a great benefit to her.

“As far as she can tell, there’s not much benefit to hanging out with the Sussexes.”

Meghan makes moves with other Kardashians

While Kim K, who owns the Skims brand, may have pulled back, Markle is reportedly focusing on strengthening her connections with her sister, Kourtney instead.

Sources claim that Meghan admires Kourtney’s work with Poosh and frequently reads the content. She is also a fan of Kourtney’s Lemme supplements and the two women share many similarities.

In fact, Meghan believes her husband, Prince Harry, and Kourtney’s husband, Travis, would hit it off.

“Meghan knows Harry would enjoy meeting Travis and thinks they would all get along well,” another source told In Touch. “She thinks it would be fun and that’s something she and Harry are looking to add to their life in the coming year.”
