AMC’s popular Walking Dead franchise continues in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and the hit spinoff has already scored a season 3 renewal. Picking up a few years after the original Walking Dead went off the air, Daryl Dixon follows the eponymous character as he travels to Europe and accidentally finds himself at the center of a power struggle that once again proves that zombies are the least of his troubles. Continuing the franchise’s trend of character-driven spinoff, Daryl Dixon works so well because of the power of the character, and Norman Reedus’ performance.
Season 1 of Daryl Dixon merely set the stage for what was to come in the sophomore outing, and the spinoff finally brought together the franchise’s strongest duo. Subtitled The Book of Carol, Daryl Dixon season 2 brought Carol Peletier across the pond as well, reuniting The Walking Dead‘s ultimate team once again. With various factions still clashing in France, and Daryl and Carol stuck in the middle of a conflict bigger than themselves, AMC has set the stage for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 to be the most exciting adventure since the conclusion of the flagship show.

Daryl & Carol Are Together Again
Along with the announcement that season 3 would be sending the show to Spain, it was also confirmed that Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride would be reprising their roles. Naturally, the dynamic duo of Daryl and Carol is an absolute must for season 3 of Daryl Dixon, but the rest of the show’s considerably large ensemble is less certain. With the pair leaving France behind, it’s possible that they’ll be the only two returning cast members for season 3, though nothing is certain yet.

Exact plot details remain elusive for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3, and that will likely remain until the ending of season 2. However, there are quite a few details that have been revealed since the third season was officially announced that inform what will happen next. With both Daryl and Carol confirmed for the next season, it’s guaranteed that they will survive their ordeal in France with the Pouvoir des Vivants. Furthermore, the duo will head to Spain at some point, and on-set photos tease a trip to London, England as well.
