No Word On Season 3 Yet

Despite being a spinoff of one of Netflix’s most popular movie series, and being tremendously successful in its own right, XO, Kitty has not been renewed for season 3 yet. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering the newness of season 2, and it probably won’t take too long for Netflix to make their final decision regarding Kitty’s future on the platform. Season 2 was ordered a mere month or so after season 1 premiered, and there was very little doubt about a sophomore outing after the success of the debut.

It remains to be seen if the show’s fans will come back after such a long wait.

With anticipation high for season 2, it should garner an equally large audience. However, it’s uncertain if the longer-than-expected wait for season 2 will impact viewership. Netflix (and other streamers too) is notorious for years-long waits between seasons of their most in-demand shows, and it’s not really clear if that’s had an impact on fan retention.
