Doctor Doom will have to address this mysterious woman scene in Tony Stark’s vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
It’s been nine years and fans are still thinking about the mystery woman in Tony Stark’s haunting visions in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Wanda Maximoff worked her magic to show Stark a dark image where his fellow heroes were dead and the Chitauri had finally invaded Earth. Along with that hallucination was an unidentified woman lying dead beside Clint Barton.
Robert Downey Jr.’s surprise return to the MCU as Doctor Doom may actually reveal who this person is to bring closure to one of the biggest mysteries in the Avengers saga.
Mystery Woman In Avengers: Age of Ultron Should Be Addressed In Doctor Doom
Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch debuted in the MCU in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and in the beginning, she wasn’t part of the team. At the time, when the Avengers invaded Baron Strucker’s fortress in Sokovia, Wanda and her brother, Pietro, aided in its defense.

In one of the images that flashed in his mind, a mysterious woman was seen lying dead with what seemed like a bullet struck on her head. She’s wearing an armored suit that suggests she could be working for SHIELD or other defense agencies. However, the significant focus on her only raised questions as to her real identity.
Netizens have interesting speculations about this – some believe it is Valeria von Doom or Stark’s daughter, Morgan. Others think it’s Taskmaster from Black Widow but only a different actress. At the time, there wasn’t any explanation as to the real purpose of this mysterious figure other than a part of Stark’s vision. It also didn’t help that she’s lying next to Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye.
With Downey’s return to the MCU, perhaps the writers could find a way to address this or tie it with Doctor Doom’s storyline, which will make it even more impressive as the scene would immediately become a tease of what’s coming next.

It’s safe to say that everyone was shocked upon discovering Downey Jr.’s unexpected return as an MCU antagonist. For eleven years, he played the iconic Iron Man whom we all know started the franchise and died like a hero.
Doctor Doom is expected to be the new big bad villain so it is indeed a large shoe to fill in. Fans can only hope that the actor’s comeback will show some associations with previous installments just to ensure that his return was intentional and not just a cash grab.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently available to watch on Disney+.
