Antony Starr as Homelander in The Boys season 4 episode 6

The Boys season 4, episode 6, gets a new trailer, teasing a storyline involving Homelander, Neuman, and The Seven stuck in Tek Knight’s mansion. After three popular previous seasons, The Boys season 4 brought the hit superhero parody show back to Prime Video last month. The new season sees Homelander (Antony Starr) become increasingly unstable, with Billy Butcher’s (Karl Urban) quest against him becoming even more desperate. A number of other familiar faces also return, including Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, a superhero who first appeared in spinoff Gen V.

Now, the official X account for The Boys releases the trailer for episode 6 ahead of its release on Thursday. Check out the trailer below:

The trailer teases that much of episode 6 takes place in Tek Knight’s mansion, with the superhero throwing a dinner party. All signs point to the evening being something of a nightmare, however, with Neuman attempting to get drunk (before her head explodes), Homelander looking uncomfortable, Hughie (Jack Quaid) screaming, and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) seemingly getting shot in the head.

Where The Story Goes After The Boys Season 4, Episode 5

Billy Butcher Secured A Major Win

While it’s unclear why Tek Knight is throwing a dinner party and exactly how it all goes wrong, the key plot thread set up at the end of The Boys season 4, episode 5, could play an important role in episode 6. Although the last of the supe virus is used to escape a herd of murderous sheep, the final moments of episode 5 reveal that Butcher and Joe Kessler (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) have the scientist who created it held hostage. This will enable them to make more of the virus to wipe out Homelander and supe-kind.

The Boys season 4 will comprise eight episodes in total, just like seasons 1 – 3.

This scientist is only very briefly shown in the teaser above, so it’s not clear how prominently this storyline will be featured in the new episode. Even if the supe virus plot does play out in episode 6, it’s unlikely to advance too far given that the scientist will need supplies and time in order to create it. Perhaps, some of the formulation of the supe virus will play out off-screen while the action instead shifts to Tek Knight’s nightmarish dinner party.

Tek Knight serves as a minor antagonist as part of the cast of Gen V, but exactly where his story is going in The Boys remains a mystery. He possesses incredible powers of deduction, due in part to his superhuman vision and hearing, and these powers are sure to play a role in episode 6 as he is surrounded by some of the most powerful people in the world. While many questions remain about the upcoming episode of The Boys, it’s certainly shaping up to continue the show’s shocking, violent, and funny tone.

New episodes of The Boys release on Thursdays on Prime Video.
