THIS is the hilarious moment The Princess of Wales teases a royal well wisher for eating “too many mince pies” after an embarrassing chair mishap on Christmas Day.

A beaming Kate was greeting royal fans during the church walkabout at Sandringham on December 25 when a patron’s picnic chair snapped in half.

She was alongside husband Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla, when the man took a small tumble.

In footage obtained by The Sun, a loud snap can be heard as the chair gives way.

The man who fell from the chair is heard saying, “what have I just done?”, in a blunder that is sure to have left him blushing.

The Princess immediately steps forward to check on him, placing a supportive hand on his shoulder.

Upon learning he is okay, her genuine concern turns to laughter, as she tries to relive the awkwardness the man may have been feeling.

She jokes, “you’ve had too many mince pies,” as the pair laugh and blame festive indulgence for the mishap.

More than 500 royal fans gathered at Sandringham on Christmas morning to catch a glimpse of the King and Queen, who were seen wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas”.

The royal family was attending a Yuletide service at St Mary Magdalene’s Church on the Norfolk estate.

Some loyal royalists had camped out overnight from as early as 9pm to secure a spot at the front of the crowd.

Visitors travelled from as far as Canada and Mexico, lining the metal barriers in the hope of speaking to members of the Royal Family.

During the walkabout, the Princess of Wales was presented with flowers and plants and was photographed bending down to stroke a dog as she continued greeting crowds.

Beaming Charles wrapped up in a camel coat while Camilla opted for a red overcoat and hat as they fended off the chilly morning breeze.

After the service, the royals then came out and met well-wishers with George, Charlotte and Louis receiving handfuls of gifts.

The young royals were given so many treats that police officers had to carry armfuls away.

The Princess of Wales received numerous flowers and plants and was snapped bending down to stroke a dog.

She stayed longer than any other royal, collecting flowers, gifts and chatting warmly with well-wishers.

This is the second year in a row Kate has stayed behind, and it’s fast becoming a tradition.

Charlotte, meanwhile, gave one royal fan in a wheelchair a hug reaching down to embrace the woman who was wrapped in a blanket to keep warm.

CRISIS-HIT YORKS SNUBBED

Princess Beatrice joined the King at Sandringham for Christmas and snubbed her crisis-hit parents.

Charles’ niece, 37, and her younger sister Princess Eugenie, 35, walked with the family as they headed in for the 11am church service.

Bea had earlier planned to avoid both Sandringham and Royal Lodge to prevent being seen as taking sides, and go skiing with pals instead.

The sisters made a quick exit with their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank once the service finished at 11.50am.

They were seen waving and greeting onlookers as they walked past but did not hang around to properly chat with the public, unlike the Waleses.
