
PRINCESS Kate dazzled in green at the Royal Variety Show as she beamed alongside Prince William.
The royal, 43, joined Wills in kicking off the glitzy event by leading the National Anthem at Royal Albert Hall.
The Royal Variety Show was filmed on Wednesday, November 19 but hit screens on ITV 1 at 7pm this evening.
Princess Kate looked glowing in her festive green velvet dress and matching Manolo Blahnik pumps.
The mum-of-three accessorised her glamourous gown with Cartier diamond jewellery.
The Prince and Princess of Wales watched performances from Jessie J, who sang I’ll Never Know Why and Stephen Fry who performed a comedic skit.
The cast of Les Miserables including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, Katy Secombe, Bradley Jaden and Killian Donnelly also took to the stage.
And, the new Paddington musical was introduced by the composer Tom Fletcher
Britain’s Got Talent winner Harry Moulding displayed his magic skills too.
Opera star Katherine Jenkins was another act to perform under the spotlights.
Madness, Laufey, Tom Davis, Mick Miller, The cast of the BBC show Dead Ringers, Johannes Radebe and America’s Got Talent winners Adrien Stoica and his border collie Hurricane were also in the line up.
Stand-up comedian Jason Manford hosted the Royal Variety Performance.
The presenter, and actor, presented the show once before, in 2020 for the lockdown edition.
He cracked some jokes about his children, who he said he had turned into “monsters” which made the Princess of Wales chuckle.

Before the event, the Princess of Wales shared an emotional hug with Jessie J following their separate cancer battles.
Speaking backstage, Jessie J told Catherine that she was diagnosed with cancer in June.
“I just had breast cancer,” the singer told her. “I just want to give you a hug, cancer really puts life into perspective.”
The two women then embraced and spoke about the shock of receiving a cancer diagnosis.
Jessie recalled her conversation with the Princess after the event and told ABC: “She just said, ‘Thank you, I know you’ve gone through a tough time.’ I said, ‘I know you have too’.
“I just said, ‘I want to acknowledge that, mum to mum, cancer survivor to cancer survivor. I see you, and I feel you. Can I give you a hug?’”
Jessie J has posted openly about her experience of undergoing a mastectomy, while the princess was praised for sharing her own cancer journey with the public.
Kate’s cancer treatment finished in January this year whilst the star singer is still facing treatment after facing delays to a second surgery.
In tonight’s show, the 37-year-old performed her new song I’ll Never Know Why, which she wrote for her late bodyguard, Dave, who died by suicide in 2021.
Catherine, 43, told her: “Such a moving song.”
Replying, Jessie J said: “It is such an important conversation. I just miss him and I want to help others.”
She told the princess that she had just spoken to her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, about how important it is to support men through mental health crisis and encourage them to talk about how they are feeling.
Jessie and Chanan, 41, welcomed their son Sky Safir Cornish Colman in May 2023.
Speaking afterwards, Jessie J explained that she had purposefully dressed in a black hoodie and sweatpants to represent someone who is feeling depressed at home.
“They don’t want to get up in the morning, put on a fancy dress or wear make-up,” she said. “They’re just wearing their comfies on the sofa.”
She said that the Prince of Wales asked her if she would like to team up to encourage open conversations about mental health and to combat the stigma.
Jessie said: “He would love to get me involved”. “They [Kate and Will] are interested and know how important it is to share the message.”
