Emily Cooper’s Last Christmas: Netflix Drops First Look at the Final Season — and She’s Leaving Paris

Netflix has confirmed that Emily in Paris will end with Season 6, and the streamer has released the first official images from the farewell run. All episodes arrive worldwide on December 24, 2026 — Christmas Eve.
The series, created by Darren Star and starring Lily Collins as Chicago marketer Emily Cooper, launched in 2020 and became one of Netflix’s most watched romantic comedies. Season 5, which premiered in December 2025, drew tens of millions of views in its first days. In May 2026, Collins and Star confirmed that the sixth season would close Emily’s story after six years.
The official premise is clear. Emily steps into a new phase of ambition and romance and must make defining choices that test her loyalties. Career conflicts and shifting relationships force her to decide where her future actually belongs: work, love, or the life she built in Paris.

Season 6 does not stay in the French capital. Production began in Greece in May 2026, including Mykonos locations such as Agios Sostis beach, the Kato Mili windmills, Little Venice, and the streets of Chora. The story then moves to Monaco before returning to Paris. That itinerary picks up a Season 5 cliffhanger: after Emily ended a relationship in Italy and came back to Paris, Gabriel — played by Lucas Bravo — sent a postcard inviting her to Greece. The first-look photos show Collins and Bravo together in a Greek market and on the coast, suggesting she accepted the invitation, at least for a visit.
The returning ensemble includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, and Paul Forman as Nicolas de Léon. First-look stills also place Mindy, Sylvie, Alfie, and Princess Jane in Greece, so the circle around Emily travels with her rather than waiting in Paris.

The Christmas Eve date is a deliberate holiday drop. Previous seasons often arrived in December; this one lands on the day many households look for light, glamorous entertainment. Netflix has indicated the full season will be available at once.
What the photos do not settle is the ending. Emily’s job at the agency, her on-again relationship with Gabriel, and the pull of other cities have defined the show. Greece and Monaco raise the stakes: if Paris is home, why keep leaving it? If she stays, what does she give up? Star has described the final season as the biggest version of the series yet — more locations, more spectacle, and one last choice.
Filming continued in France through September 2026 after the Greece and Monaco shoots. By Christmas, viewers will see whether Emily Cooper remains the American in Paris or whether the last chapter takes her somewhere else for good.
