Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'torn' about remaining in USA amid 'hellish' situation - Mirror Online

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, could become a kind of refugees, amid the imminent risk of deportation from cutting ties with the United Kingdom, so they are considering the possibility of moving to Canada.

According to Nile Gardiner, director of the Heritage Foundation, told GN News that the immigration status of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is at risk following the election victory of Donald Trump, due to his mass expulsion of undocumented migrants.

This is because, according to the expert, Harry is in the midst of a US visa dispute with the Heritage Foundation following the publication of his memoir Spare, where he admitted to using recreational drugs in the past.

This would be grounds for U.S. visa withdrawal, as one of the requirements for obtaining a visa is that the applicant disclose whether they have used drugs at any time in their lives, especially when applying for a Green Card.

An affirmative answer does not necessarily imply an automatic denial of the visa, but it can affect the applicant’s eligibility.

The British conservative think tank requested that in the face of this dispute, Harry’s visa documents be made public to see if the Biden administration was protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex or not.

After the refusal, the Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to force them to make public Harry’s visa application, even though it would be a violation of his personal data. In fact, the ruling issued last September determined that the documents should remain private.

With Trump’s victory, Gardiner has just declared that he wants to know if the future administration would change its mind and reopen the case: “If Harry lied on his immigration application, he would have to leave the United States. That would be a criminal offense and he would be subject to deportation from the United States.”

When asked where they might go in the event of deportation, Gardiner responded that the most likely destination could be Canada, where a new government may also arrive that will allow them to enter legally.

All these problems originated after they renounced their rights as active members of the British Royal Family in 2020 and decided to settle permanently in California, with their two children: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

This is why Meghan has not returned to the UK since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 and Prince Harry himself previously said that he would “never” bring his wife back to the UK because he fears for her safety, so the UK would not be an option to return.

In fact, Gardiner estimated that: “I’m pretty sure most Britons would be horrified at the idea of Prince Harry returning to the UK and would rather they went somewhere else, as they are tremendously unpopular, as well as in the US. It’s hard to imagine where they would actually be welcomed in the rest of the world.

“Harry and Meghan have been their own worst enemies by relentlessly attacking the Royal Family and following an enormously narcissistic course.”
