We’ve heard plenty of stories recently about Meghan Markle as she’s been losing allies and getting bad press after several former employees labeled her a “demon boss” and “dictator in high heels.” Meanwhile, the vibe out there with the duchess’s husband as of late has been just the opposite.
Prince Harry‘s team has been busy drumming up positive publicity for the duke ahead of his Netflix documentary Polo. In September, he traveled to a few different cities across the globe and was photographed smiling and laughing looking like the old Harry royal watchers were so fond of over the years. The prince even came out nearly unscathed in the reports alleging that Meghan was a terrible boss with ex-aides saying: “Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all.”
But while it seemed that Harry was reverting back to his old self and all would be forgiven, one of his former pals reminded everyone why some people from his past have not and will not ever speak to him again.
The reason Harry’s former friend ‘vowed never to talk to him again’
Harry lost more than just his popularity after he and Meghan stepped down and went on the attack against the royal family.
We thought we heard it all from Harry during the Sussexes’ televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple’s Netflix docuseries, and the prince’s memoir Spare. But apparently, there were more hurtful things the prince had to say behind closed doors and some of those comments were so bad they caused one of his good pals to stop speaking to him for good. One comment was reportedly about the duke’s father King Charles, according to the Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English.
“I was told of one former confidant, who for many years couldn’t have been closer to Harry, who was so disgusted by his behavior — and, in particular, by some of the things he apparently said privately about his family — that they vowed never to talk to him again. And they haven’t,” English wrote per Express.
Who else may never speak to Harry again?
It’s not just Harry’s former buddies, but also some of the family members targeted in his tell-all interviews and memoir who may never speak to him again.
Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) were reportedly very upset about some of the stuff Harry said publicly, so much so that communication and relations between them at this time are non-existent. In fact, when Kate announced her cancer diagnosis, the Sussexes found out the same time the rest of the public did: via her video message.
Moreover, one of the Prince of Wales’ friends previously told the Daily Beast that William has not forgiven his brother saying “he feels utterly betrayed … He hates him for what he has done to the family in the books and interviews … It’s no secret William would prefer it if Harry never stepped foot in England again.”
