Has Meghan Markle been having doubts about her marriage to Prince Harry for quite some time?

According to a new bombshell exposé published on Friday by Vanity Fair, her team secretly pitched a book about her “post-divorce” life a couple of years ago — even though the couple had not broken up!
 
Per the report, a rumor began to circulate in the book world several years ago that Meghan’s team spoke with an unnamed publishing house to see about interest in the memoir idea. It is unknown when the conversation exactly happened. However, the source knows the book would not have been about “life after marital dissolution, or one about Meghan’s past experience” with divorce. Remember the Suits alum was married to Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2014. However, the book wouldn’t be about that chapter in her life! No. Instead, it reportedly would be “a post-Harry divorce” book! A divorce was not in the works at the time, though! What!

 

Essentially, the meeting was trying to determine if the publisher would be “theoretically” interested in the book just in case the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ever did break up. Huh?? Why talk to a publishing house about a divorce book if they were not spitting? It’s weird, no? It makes you question if there’s more to the story here! Like, did Meghan have a feeling the marriage was not going to last way back then? Rumors have been circulating about the couple that they’re heading for splitsville. This started only a few months ago. But perhaps things have been rocky between Meghan and Harry for way longer…

Another source did not flat-out deny that the conversation happened. However, they noted:

“If that’s true to any degree, [Markle] would have been approached and not vice versa.”

Hmm. Ultimately, Vanity Fair reported that the publisher did not make an offer to Meghan. No manuscript was ever even produced since there was no divorce from Prince Harry to write about (at least not yet, possibly). If the current speculation is true, though, we know Meghan would get an offer in a heartbeat! A lot of publishing houses would want their hands on the tea on those pages!
