Virgin River fans got to see the chemistry between Mel and Jack progress, and evolve over six seasons. However, now that the two are married, getting hitched at the end of Season 6, some viewers are beginning to become bored with their relationship because its too predictable.
On Reddit, one fan admitted: “I fast forward through their scenes now. They’re in love, I get it! Now that their relationship has culminated in marriage, I find myself less interested in their plotline.”
There was another viewer who argued online that it wasn’t an issue of a lack of chemistry between Mel and Jack, but instead that they’re seeming to be too picture-perfect, which makes them less relatable.
The Mirror US reported that showrunner Patrick Sean Smith and show star Benjamin Hollingsworth teased that his character Brady will try to track down his ex-girlfriend and recover the money she stole from him.
“I have met with Sean [Smith], and we talked season 7 storylines,” the actor revealed. “So I do know a little bit about where we want to take him from here. I don’t think I can spoil much, but what I can say is that I don’t think he’s the guy that would just leave it alone that someone took all his money. I think that he’s the guy that would go looking for that.”
