Virgin River enthusiasts are still reeling from the jaw-dropping bombshells dropped in the season finale that left them utterly bewildered.

In the climactic episode 10, titled The Big Day, viewers watched as Mel Monroe (portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) finally exchanged vows, but of course, their path to matrimonial bliss was peppered with unexpected twists.

Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) is mysteriously absent – or perhaps something more sinister has occurred – and there’s a startling turn of events in the tangled tale of Brie (Zibby Allen) and Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth).

The plot thickens when Brady’s latest flame Lark (Elise Gatien) is revealed to be a con artist; she overhears his declaration of love for Brie and bolts from the wedding, leaving his bank account high and dry.

Simultaneously, Brie’s current flame Mike (Marco Grazzini) decides to pop the question post-ceremony, despite inexplicably being aware that she had a recent tryst with Brady, reports the Express.

While this twist had fans’ jaws hitting the floor, many are still left pondering how Mike came into this knowledge.

A baffled fan recently hit up Reddit to inquire: “How did Mike know?? Out of all the finale cliff hangers, this one bothers me the most.”

Puzzling over how Mike got wind of the Brie/Brady situation and for how long he’s been in the know, they doubted Brady would have spilled the beans.

The fan hypothesized: “Maybe Kaia (Kandyse McClure)? Or maybe he picked up on the tension?

“I think that’s why he wants to lock her down asap. The whole thing is a mess.”

Season seven is set to hurl a slew of curveballs at Mel and Jack, including the daunting prospect of taking in Marley’s (Rachel Drance) child and possibly even Charmaine’s twins, should tragedy strike.

Yet, we can’t overlook the Brie-Brady-Mike-Lark love tangle that has viewers perched on the brink of their seats, eager to see which couples will last.

The fanbase has been buzzing with theories on how Mike might have caught wind of Brie and Brady’s clandestine meetings – though opinions are split on his reasons for pursuing marriage regardless.

“I think it was supposed to be instinctual, like when he told Brie that her parents were sleeping together. He just knew,” one fan theorized in the comments section.

Others are tossing around the idea that Jack may have accidentally revealed his sister’s secret. Another chimed in: “I’m not sure if you picked up on it. But by the campfire when someone made a joke about Brady being a family man, Jack looked at Brady weird. And Mike picked up on the exchange.”
