Princess Katherine’s sister Pippa Middleton and her billionaire husband James Matthews have been reportedly involved in a local dispute over access to a foot path on their $29 million estate.

The couple closed off a lane by their West Birkshire country pile, which was previously owned by Design Tycoon Sir Terrence Conran.

The couple has now installed signs warning private no public access and no trespassing. The decision to block the entrance has been described as outrageous.

Some locals have urged them to reconsider the private foot path, which was open for general use under the property’s previous owner.

Others have argued that the couple are within their rights to block access to the public. The couple bought the property in 2021 and have since moved to a more modest Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

The couple has lived in two apartments at Kensington Palace, one of which was the home of Princess Margaret. The new home is located on the Windsor Home Park estate in Birkshire, where the Windsor Castle is located.
