That ‘I Miss You’ Hit Minho So Hard, He Could Barely Keep It Together… What If Stella Hadn’t Interrupted? 💔

Okay, let’s be real—we all know XO, Kitty’s Min Ho and Kitty clearly have something special going on. Since the release of season 2, I’ve been so obsessed with the tension between Min Ho and Kitty that my entire TikTok For You Page is flooded with XO, Kitty videos. While scrolling through, I noticed that other fans had pointed out the many direct parallels between XO, Kitty and Jenny Han’s other work, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

After analyzing these parallels and paying close attention to the soundtrack during those key, heartfelt moments, it’s pretty clear where things are headed. And trust me, it’s all pointing toward endgame.

This post will break down all of the parallels, song choices, and memorable scenes that prove Min Ho and Kitty are destined to be endgame for the next season.

Parallel Moments

If you are a fan of Jenny Han, or just a big hopeless romantic, you are probably familiar with her film series, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. In the films, Kitty was just Lara Jean’s little sister, but now that she has her own series, it’s easy to spot the parallel moments that reflect on her older sister’s love story. Since we know that Lara Jean and Peter are endgame, could these mirroring references be hinting at Kitty and Min Ho being endgame as well?

The Fainting Scene

Let’s dive into the most straightforward reference to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before first: the fainting scene! In TATBILB, Lara Jean is seen fainting on the running track after Peter finds about her past love letter to him. While in XO, Kitty, Kitty pretends to faint to cause a disruption and stall the track race.

Though both of these scenes have different context, their visuals are nearly identical, as seen above. From the position of the ponytail to the camera angles, the attention to detail is crazy and it’s clear that this is a direct reference to TATBILB. This scene may seem lighthearted, but it hints at deeper connections between Kitty and Min Ho, similar to the bond between Lara Jean and Peter. As an avid watcher of Jenny Han’s work, I was genuinely surprised by how spot-on this parallel is.

The Hot Tub Scene

If you’ve watched TATBILB, you probably remember the iconic hot tub scene between Lara Jean and Peter. In this scene, Peter is seen sitting alone in the hot tub when Lara Jean approaches him, hoping to clear the air between them. As they talk through their misunderstandings, the tension between them starts to grow closer. Despite the fact Lara Jean wore pajamas in the moment, she decides to join Peter in the hot tub as they share a sweet, passionate kiss. Their chemistry in this scene is seriously undeniable as this is when they start blurring the lines between a fake and real relationship.

Whereas the situation in XO, Kitty is completely different. Like TATBILB, the characters also went to a ski trip, but they aren’t expecting the mayhem that was about to unfold. In episode 4 of XO, Kitty, Kitty’s love letter to Yuri gets exposed in front of everyone, including Yuri’s girlfriend, Juliana. This leads to Kitty isolating herself in the hot tub, where Min Ho later finds her. When Kitty refuses to leave the hot tub, Min Ho joins her, despite being fully clothed in designer clothes, and sweetly comforts her.

X (2025)

Although this scene wasn’t as intimate as the one in TATBILB, I would consider this as the turning point of their friendship, as Kitty shows her vulnerable side and opens up to Min Ho. Despite the contrasting situations, these two scenes have many similarities: from the setting of the hot tub to the lighting and visuals.

The Confession Scene

This next parallel is not a reference to TATBILB, but rather to season 1 of XO, Kitty itself! Season 1 of XO, Kitty ends with Min Ho confessing his love to Kitty with his most famous line: “I think I fell in love with you. A little bit. Or… a lot.” Surprisingly, this line had resurfaced in season 2, but now Kitty was the one saying it. In episode 7 of season 2, Kitty comes to the realization that she has fallen in love with Min Ho after being jealous of his relationship with Stella. Although Kitty hasn’t directly told Min Ho about her feelings, the episode ends with her narrating the same exact line, mirroring Min Ho’s confession in season 1.

Memorable Scenes & Song Choice

Along with the many references this season has, there were also many memorable scenes that hints at Kitty and Min Ho’s potential endgame for the next season. Although there are many moments I would love to mention, I’ll keep it short.

Min Ho Calling Kitty “Covey”

One of the moments that standout this season is Min Ho’s habit of calling Kitty “Covey”. In season 1, Min Ho always called Kitty by her nickname, however in season 2, he calls her “Covey”, like Peter did to Lara Jean. Funny thing is, Peter Kavinsky himself points out that Min Ho still likes Kitty because of this habit—obviously coming from experience.

While it might seem like a small detail, Min Ho calling Kitty “Covey” subtly reflects his feelings about her. If you rewatch the episodes of XO, Kitty, you’ll notice that Min Ho only calls her Kitty when he isn’t fond of her or when they’re in serious situations.

Their Looks of Love

Although Min Ho and Kitty haven’t officially confessed their love for each other yet, the way they look at each other speaks volumes about the deep connection and feelings they have. It’s undeniable! There were many moments within the series where their intense looks would’ve been enough to have multiple kiss scenes.

Tumblr (2025)

Like let’s be real, you cannot deny that they look like a loving couple in the scene shown above. Despite the fact that Min Ho and Kitty didn’t have a kiss scene in season 2, this growing tension could set the stage for more emotional moments between the two. It could even lead to them being endgame!

‘About Love’ Song Parallel

Now let’s dive into the song choice! Another parallel between TATBILB and XO, Kitty, is their use of the song About Love by MARINA. Though this is another subtle detail, it’s worth noting as Kitty’s other ships, like Dae and Yuri, didn’t get a song parallel like Min Ho did. Bonus points for Min Ho as this song by MARINA was placed during his confession scene, deepening the meaning of their relationship.

Cherry Blossom Ball Song

Last but not least, we cannot talk about Min Ho and Kitty without mentioning the ball scene. In episode 7 of season 2, Min Ho invites Kitty to dance with him to her favorite song, Picture You by Chappell Roan. Although this song choice received backlash from many fans, I believe that the main lyrics perfectly reflects Kitty’s newfound feelings for Min Ho.

“Do you picture me like I picture you? Am I in the frame from your point of view?” — Picture You by Chappell Roan

As a fanbase, it’s pretty clear that Lara Jean and Peter’s theme song is I Like Me Better by Lauv. On the other hand, if you asked fans of XO, Kitty what they think Kitty and Min Ho’s theme song would be, most of them would probably say Picture You.

The Bottom Line

With their undeniable chemistry, meaningful interactions, and the subtle yet significant parallels, it’s clear that Min Ho and Kitty are on a path toward something deeper. Season 2 not only deepens their connection but also paves a path for future relationships in the upcoming season, making them one of the most anticipated couples for fans of XO, Kitty.
