Richard Osman has taken aim at Meghan Markle after the Duchess of Sussex unveiled a new name for her lifestyle brand ahead of her new Netflix show launching.
Meghan, 43, took to social media last week, telling fans she was “excited” that her new lifestyle programme, With Love, Meghan, would be released “in a fortnight”. In the same post she said she was “thrilled” to announce a new name for her lifestyle brand.
Previously known as American Riviera Orchard, the brand will now be called As Ever. The duchess says this means “as it’s always been” a reference to her time running lifestyle blog The Tig.
Author and former Pointless star Richard Osman and The Rest Is Entertainment podcast co-host Marina Hyde were however left unimpressed by Meghan’s announcement.
Marina commented: “She claimed in that little Instagram video, in that little ‘I’m so excited to share this with you’ [way]. I always feel that if someone says I’m so excited to share this with you that whatever comes next will be appalling.”

Richard added: “If you have to say ‘I am excited’ then you know you are not. Because you should show that you’re excited.
“I mean, just talking, you could say ‘oh my God she looks really excited’ but if you have to say ‘me, I’m excited,’ well, you think tell your face love.”
Revealing the new brand, Meghan said she felt the old name meant she had to focus on her local area too much. She told fans: “Cats out of the bag, I’m shocked we’ve managed to keep this a secret for so long.
