Is Prince Harry looking to spend Christmas without his family this year? That’s what a lot of people can’t help but wonder as  there’s a new report that suggests the prince might be planning his holiday without Meghan Markle and his kids by his side.

That’s mostly because Prince Harry is so fed up with his life in California that all he wants t o do is be with his old friends back in the UK.

Not only that, but he also wants to take the opportunity to spend some time apart from Meghan before they ultimately decide on whether or not they want to pull the plug on their marriage. And apparently, they’ve already been doing this on a professional front.

Royal expert and author Phil Dampier, who often has something or another to say about the royal family on almost a daily basis, weighed in on the matter in a new interview.

Dampier put it this way, “Meghan is concentrating on her American Rivera Orchard lifestyle brand which is dependent on Netflix, while Harry has been flying solo with his charity work.”

“He clearly feels a need to return to the U.K. and Africa for various causes like the Wellchild Charity and Sentebale in Lesotho, and I think he wants to look up old friends he has drifted apart from.”

“Sometimes in the U.S. he looks uncomfortable or just plain bored when he is out and about with Meghan at showbiz or sporting events.”

The royal expert further explained,  “And during their trips this year to Colombia and Nigeria he looked like a bolt-on accessory while she seemed to be the dominant partner.”

“I’m sure he’s lacking some mates he can go out with for a beer and truly relax. The more he does things on his own and carves out some new projects, the more likely it is he can heal himself and eventually some of the divisions with his family, but it’s going to be a long road.”
