PRINCE Harry has planned another expedition abroad – but there is no mention of whether Meghan Markle will join him.

The Duke of Sussex will travel to Lesotho and South Africa early next month following his solo visit to New York this week.

He will travel to Lesotho for a gathering of business leaders, philanthropists and local stakeholders, aimed at driving forward the work of his youth-focused charity Sentebale.

Harry spent two months in the African kingdom of Lesotho during his gap year back in 2004.

And the experience made a lasting impression on the young royal – who was just 19 at the time.

The Duke decided to found Sentebale, which means “forget me not”, in 2006 to honour his mother Princess Diana and help disadvantaged children.

Harry last visited Lesotho in 2018 and his latest trip will see him join Sentebale co-founding patron Prince Seeiso to meet with local leaders and youth advocates.

On the trip, the group will head to Lesotho “to witness Sentebale’s programmes at work.”

Prince Seeiso said: “It fills me, the team, and our wider community with joy to welcome Prince Harry or Mohale as we affectionately refer to him by his Sesotho royal name which means ‘warrior’.

“Now more than ever, as we look to the challenges of our young generation here in Lesotho, the collective energy of both local and international individuals and organizations who see the potential in these youth, is embraced.

“We know that there are bright futures at stake, and we continue to approach our work with the vision that all children can be empowered, healthy and resilient through sustainable solutions that can ultimately be locally driven.”

Founded in 2006, Sentebale began working in Lesotho before expanding into Botswana, and operates in four key areas: strengthening the social and emotional wellbeing of those living with or affected by HIV; helping to provide access to health and social services; driving youth advocacy; and building individuals’ skills and livelihoods.

The Duke regularly visited the mountainous nation to promote his organisation’s work but last travelled to the capital Maseru in 2018, the year he married Meghan.

After, the group will go to Johannesburg, South Africa for working sessions with “leading Southern Africa-based business leaders, foundations and organisations already active in the youth sector.”

According to Sentebale, “these sessions will explore collaborative strategies to deploy expertise and innovative capital to reduce the digital divide and ensure youth access to healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities.”

People love Prince Harry but hate the woman he loves – Meghan Markle took him from the royal family
Earlier this week, Prince Harry spoke alongside Lesotho’s Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso at an event on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

He said: “I would like to start by extending my deepest gratitude to Their Majesties for their continued friendship.

“The Lesotho royal family, as well as Lesotho itself, has been a pillar of strength for me over the last 20 years, welcoming me with open arms and such kindness.”

It comes as Harry touched down in New York without Meghan Markle for a number of events over the past few days.

During this time, the prince attended various charity and philanthropic functions linked to the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week.

Harry also took a tour of a haunted maze with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon in a surprise TV appearance last night.

As the frights came to a climax at Fallon’s new Tonightmares attraction at the Rockefeller Center in New York, the royal could be seen shouting “Jesus, f**k!”

It is the latest appearance without wife Meghan Markle, amid suggestions he is keen on a UK return but she’s not.

In one comedy moment of the skit on NBC, which lasted almost three minutes, an actress playing a zombie failed to recognise Harry.

After he passed her by she was shown asking a colleague: “Who was that?”

At another point in the segment Harry joked that one of the other actors looked like his Canadian crooner pal Michael Bublé.

While in New York, Harry also delivered a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative 2024 summit.

He highlighted the launch of the Archewell Foundation Parent’s Network, which is aimed at supporting parents as their children navigate online spaces.

During his speech, Prince Harry shared that his phone lock screen is of Archie and Lilibet as he delivered an emotional message on the importance of protecting children from the online world.
