Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘don’t like being in the US’ for one main reason: ‘Take her down!’

Since famously quitting the firm in 2020 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seen their popularity in the UK take a massive downward spiral.

In October 2019, before he left, Harry was liked by 71 per cent and disliked by 22 per cent of the British public, since his Royal departure Harry’s popularity has plummeted.

The latest data from last August showed that now, only 30 percent hold a favourable opinion of him, while 60 percent dislike him, according to data from Statista.

And now it seems that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s popularity has hit a fresh low as even the American public seem to be turning their backs on the couple.

Although Americans still remain fairly positive about the prince, with more than half of them (53 per cent) reporting favourable views, according to YouGov, one Royal expert believes this could soon change.

Meghan ranked slightly lower than her husband in the same poll, with 36 per cent of the people questioned saying they had a positive impression of her.

Harry’s older brother Prince William tops the poll with ther Americans with an impressive 54 per cent of Americans reporting a positive opinion of him.

According to Ingrid Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and author of royal biographies including the recent My Mother & I, believes a large proportion “dislike Harry and Meghan” suggesting that the couple are skating on thin ice with the American public.

The royal expert told The Standard: “I give a lot of talks to Americans and they all dislike Harry and Meghan. They hate that they let the Queen down.”

Whilst several insiders hold the opinion that the public are now indifferent to them and have “lost interest”.

Kinsey Schofield, an LA-based royal expert and host of the To Di For Daily podcast said: “Ultimately, I think Eric Trump has the right idea when he says Americans don’t care about Harry.

“We lost interest in Harry and Meghan after realising we had given them way too much credit over the years.”
