We’ve already heard that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are fed up with the VF allegations — there were many aside from just this book — but now it sounds like this divorce book chatter is taking a big toll on them!

On Thursday’s episode of the Deux U podcast, an insider told the gossip blogger that things have been “very tense” inside the marriage — all thanks to that book pitch! But the source isn’t sure the rumor is even true, sharing:

“I’m sure there’d be interest in any book Meghan wants to write, as long as she spills the beans. But I had never heard about a book being written about a possible divorce. But she has had offers to write a book.”

That said, as a result of these rumors, things haven’t been going so well in their relationship, the source continued:

“Vanity Fair was a stretch. From what I’ve heard, their relationship is allegedly very tense right now.”

Oof!

There’s other life stuff that’s been weighing on them, such as the delay of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and her yet-to-be-fully-launched lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The source furthered:

“She’s on edge with her business. He’s going to trial in the UK.”

FWIW, Harry won his legal battle without having to testify in court, so that was a weight lifted off his shoulders already. Things aren’t so easily fixed for the Suits alum, the confidant continued:

“Apparently, in regards to her business, everyone wants to leave because they aren’t being treated very well. And, obviously, her show was pushed.”

Well, that’s not shocking after that VF exposé (and what we’ve been hearing from her employees for years)! It is NOT a good sign, though. How’s she going to launch a company if all her employees quit before it even gets off the ground? Sounds stressful!

While the couple have been focused on charity efforts post-royal life, they are struggling to find their footing in Hollywood, something they need to figure out ASAP, the insider went on:

“They are down to the wire on figuring out their financial security. She didn’t want to have to wait as long as March to launch her show.”

Meghan’s cooking series is their last production via their Netflix deal. It was supposed to launch in mid-January but was postponed to early March due to the LA wildfires. After a canceled podcast, they really do need this show to be successful so it can help them launch more projects and products in the future!

Unless all this tension leads to a real divorce — then Meg can just make bank on that book. LOLz!
