Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made headlines for the wrong reasons again following a documentary that hasn’t painted the couple in a good light.

The Sussexes had been dealing with some bad press for a few months after a dozen of their former employees who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter described Meghan as a “demon boss” and “dictator in high heels.” Now, a new documentary about their exit from the royal family and their lives today in California has been released and some of their Montecito neighbors did not hold back from bad-mouthing the duke and duchess.

Here’s more on that and the decision the prince and former Suits star are reportedly making for the two children that has really raised eyebrows.

The ‘public couple’ have been called out as ‘unpopular’ with Montecito neighbors

Harsh remarks from some neighbors about the Sussexes were made in the German documentary titled Harry: The Lost Prince, which was directed by veteran royal reporter Ulrike Grunewald. The film examines the Duke of Sussex’s journey within the royal family, his departure, and his current life in California with his wife.

Fellow Montecito resident Richard Mineards explained that Meghan isn’t popular with other locals opining: “I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community. She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community … Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere … And you don’t see him either.”

In an interview with The Mirror, royal expert Duncan Larcombe called out the duke and duchess as a “public couple that claim to crave privacy and that I suppose would involve the local community.”

He also discussed the reports that Harry and Meghan have been making plans for their children’s future and are looking to send Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to a “prestigious” private school in the heart of Montecito that costs over $50,000 a year.

“When you have young children, they all mix with other young children at schools or nurseries. Are they going to play the role of just another parent? It sounds from the documentary that no, they are keeping themselves close to themselves, which doesn’t go down well at all in their community by the sounds of it,” Larcombe said.

Royal commentator Lee Cohen also hit out at the Sussexes over their potential plans for their kids labeling them as “frauds,” telling GB News: “Their supposed commitment to progressive causes is nothing but a façade. If they’re willing to indulge in this epitome of elitism, there is no advocating for equality.”

Cohen then questioned how Meghan and Harry could “justify” their decision to look at private schools when “so many families struggle to afford even the basic necessities.”

He added: “Sending their children to such a prestigious institution completely exposes the frauds that Harry and Meghan are. By perpetuating the very systems of privilege that they claim to expose.”
