SWEET Prince George insists on dressing like his hands-on dad William when they go to events together, claims a royal expert.

The young heir to the throne seemingly dotes on Prince Wills as royal fans also notice him copying his dad’s mannerisms in adorable moments.

In heartwarming scenes at the Euro 2024 final, George, 11, was enjoying some one-on-one time with William in the hospitality box.

The duo, who were wearing the same navy-coloured suit and similar striped ties, jumped in the air and cheered on the Three Lions when Cole Palmer scored against Spain.

Aside from twinning in their smart fits, the father-son team pulled the exact same facial expressions during the nail-biter 90 minutes.

And at Trooping the Colour in June, when the Waleses appeared united on Buckingham Palace balcony, Wills and George couldn’t help pull identical looks.

Royal expert Robert Jobson said Prince William loves times like that where he gets to show the world George is having a “carefree childhood unlike his own”.

He wrote for MailOnline: “Often, he’ll [Will] spend quality time with his elder son George, one-on-one, and he seems to relish displaying their close bond to the world.

“George, who insists on dressing like his father when he accompanies him, is even beginning to copy William’s mannerisms.

“If he ever appears awkward or overwhelmed, his dad is always close by to put a protective hand on his shoulder.”

Robert added “nothing is more important” for Wills than being a “hands-on dad” and “wrapping his children in love”.

Richard Fitzwilliams previously told The Sun William takes after his late mum Princess Diana when it comes to parenting styles

William & George’s touching show at Euros final is more special than ever for key reason, Royal expert says
He said: “Diana had a very different parenting approach from [the then] Prince Charles, and there’s no question at all that just as society has loosened up, I suppose you’d find that reflected.

“But one of the things I thought was very interesting… what I’ve seen from the photographs, because I’ve seen large number of William and George, is that they seem to be interacting in a very natural way.”

This week, Prince William and Princess Kate’s eldest turned 11.

Kesington Palace posted a sweet black and white never-before-seen snap of George wishing him a happy birthday.

When the prince turns 12, he will be unable to fly together with William as part of a rule intended to protect the monarchy.

The rule had also been in place when William turned 12 – meaning he was no longer able to travel with his father – who was Prince of Wales at the time, or his younger brother Harry.
