As a celebrity, it can’t be easy when people watch and analyze your every move, but in this case, it seems like fans may be onto something. While at the Balenciaga Fashion Show at Paris Fashion Week, Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek seemed to have exchanged some tense words in a moment that was caught on camera, and now, people are convinced that the two actresses are at odds.

The video is making the rounds on social media.

Here, we can see Nicole and Salma taking photos in front of what appears to be a sea of photographers at the Balenciaga Show at Paris Fashion Week. At one point, the women were taking a group photo with Katy Perry when Salma reached out to try to get Nicole to turn around, but Nicole didn’t seem to want to be directed.

Nicole can be seen pushing Salma’s arm away.

At one point, it looked like Nicole told her, “don’t touch me,” but it’s not clear exactly what was said between the two ladies.

Not only are they both actresses, but they were both deeply involved in the Balenciaga show. As the New York Post pointed out, Nicole is the brand’s ambassador, while Salma’s husband, François-Henri Pinault, owns the brand.

Fans have a lot of thoughts about the video.

On X (formerly Twitter), fans tried to figure out exactly what was going on in the moment, with many coming to Salma’s defense.

One person tweeted: “I didn’t hear Nicole say ‘don’t touch me’ but she definitely seemed like she was bothered by Salma. Yikes,”

Another person wrote, “Kidman is never beating the allegations that’s she thoroughly unlikeable.”

There may have been more to their interaction than it seems.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman told Page Six that Salma likely told Nicole, “Let’s turn there, OK, here,” before Nicole responded, “Hey, I’m fine, I’m good. There, it’s enough, it’s OK.”

It seems they may have been figuring out how to pose for the cameras rather than having an argument — and there’s no doubt all those flashbulbs going off was distracting at best.

All seemed well between the ladies during other parts of the evening.

In one video that has made its way on TikTok, Nicole and Salma is posing for photos on the same night, and they seem friendly toward each other — not at all like the vibe the other video was giving off.

Here’s hoping that there truly is no drama between them. The cameras might have just caught them at an awkward moment!
