Nelly Furtado was slammed over a selfie video with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at the recent Invictus Games.

The singer, 46, who performed at the games, posted a fun video with the former working Royals set to her hit, I’m Like A Bird.

In the clip, Furtado cozied up to a smiling Meghan before a serious Prince Harry nonchalantly walked in the background, leading to the pair to crack up with laughter and blow kisses.Furtado wrote: ‘They’re beautiful, that’s for sure, @meghan @weareinvictusgames.’

However the cheery clip was quickly lambasted by fans, branding the interaction ‘cringe’, with many saying they would ‘unfollow’ Furtado for associating with Harry and Meghan.

The nine-day sporting event – created by Harry in 2014 for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women – will see more than 500 competitors from 23 countries come together.

This years games will include winter sports for the first time ever.

The games have previously been held in London in 2014, in Orlando in 2016, Toronto in 2017, Sydney in 2018, The Hague in 2022 and Dusseldorf in 2023.
