Meghan Markle could be facing new legal problems, as the actress’s father recently admitted he’s thinking of launching a lawsuit against Meghan, since she’s never allowed him to meet the two children she shares with Prince Harry.

Thomas Markle, struggling with speech difficulties following a stroke he endured last year, told to “Good Morning Britain” recently that he hadn’t crossed paths with Meghan and Harry for half a decade. He claims the last communication between them transpired when he was hospitalized ahead of their 2018 wedding.

Since then, Meghan and Archie have welcomed a son and daughter, but they’ve apparently never introduced them to Meghan’s father, despite relocating to the U.S. in 2021 after a contentious relationship with Harry’s family in the U.K.

“I still haven’t seen my grandkids,” he said, “and that’s what this is about. I want to see my grandkids, and I think the king would like to see his grandkids as well.”

Thomas was referring to King Charles, Prince Harry’s father, who reportedly has a strained relationship with his son after Harry abdicated his royal duties to move to California with Meghan, where the couple have been vocal about the mistreatment they claim to have endured at the hands of the royal family.

“I’m very upset as well because this is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent, not just to me but to the king of England as well,” he continued.

Thomas went on to say that he hopes his daughter changes her mind, but he isn’t afraid to take legal action to try and be a part of his grandkids’ life. “Put the past behind us, let me see my grandkids. In the state of California, I can actually sue to see them, but I don’t want to do that,” he said.

Amid Divorce Rumors, Meghan And Harry Reportedly Have Financial Woes

For now, Meghan hasn’t publicly responded to her father’s comments, but she’s apparently under both financial and marital stress at the moment. For months, it’s been reported that Meghan and Harry were on the verge of divorce. In May, for example, it was reported the pair had hired divorce attorneys.

Moreover, those with close ties to the couple have asserted that their marriage is encountering challenges. Paul Burrell, who served as Princess Diana’s butler until her passing in 1997, expressed his belief that Harry may be maintaining the marriage primarily for the sake of their two children, whom he shares with Meghan.

“Am I the only person in the UK that is thinking, has Harry finally woken up to the truth? Has he finally seen the truth of what his wife is doing and that he’s been brainwashed and mesmerised by her beauty or something? Because we all know that, but he doesn’t seem to see it,” Burrell told GB News.

Moreover, the couple are apparently having financial difficulties, especially since Spotify cancelled their lucrative deal (and Netflix is apparently threatening to do the same). However, Harry and Meghan remain mum on all the speculation.
