Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot back in 2018 in a highly-publicized wedding ceremony that was watched by millions. At the time, Harry and Meghan’s relationship was in question only because of how quickly they’d moved, but it was clear that the two shared a lot of love.

Of course, Meghan’s extended family has never been happy for her, and her estranged half-sister Samantha Markle claims the duchess’ marriage of more than six years is not going to last.

Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister claims her marriage was always ‘doomed’

Meghan Markle became a household name overnight after it was leaked that she was dating eligible bachelor Prince Harry back in late 2016. And from that point, estranged family members were poking their heads out left and right to try and get a piece of Meghan’s fame. Her family hasn’t stopped talking ever since, and now, her estranged half-sister Samantha Markle says the duchess’ marriage to Harry was always “doomed.”

“I kind of think this was doomed from the beginning,” Samantha told former GB news presenter Dan Wootton while speaking of Harry and Meghan’s love (via Express). Samantha also claimed that it won’t be long before Harry returns to the UK by himself for good, and that Harry is “probably wanting to say” that William was right all along. (Of course, it’s been said that William and Harry’s falling out first started because William told Harry he thought Harry was moving too quickly.)

“And it unfolded the way people predicted, in the way Prince William seemingly thought it would, and that’s sad,” Samantha said of Harry and Meghan’s downfall. However, there is one problem with her theory: She doesn’t exactly back it up.

Samantha says the couple’s marriage was always “doomed” and that Harry probably thinks William was right all along, but she provides no evidence to back up her claims that the couple’s marriage is on the brink of failure.

People can say whatever they want about Harry and Meghan. Certain actions, words, decisions, etc. of the couple’s can be shed in a negative light depending on how people have chosen to perceive them. But there has hardly been concrete evidence that Harry and Meghan are unhappy at all. Harry’s facial expressions while out in public with his wife have sometimes resembled those of a recent Ben Affleck, but we all look like that when we zone out, no?

Harry and Meghan have battled marriage rumors since tying the knot more than six years ago, but the reality is the two are still together, whether people want to believe that or not. Although Meghan’s sister, whom she hasn’t spoken to in years, seems to think otherwise, there is just no hard evidence at this point to back up Samantha’s claims.
