Meghan once said that Harry did not receive much materially despite being a member of the British Royal Family.

Anew book on the British Royal Family by expert Robert Jobson has revealed  Meghan Markle ‘s thoughts  when she first met the Royal Family. In it, the former actress believes there is inequality between her husband – Prince Harry – and his brother William and that Harry deserves more materially.

“When Meghan and Harry went to William and Kate’s apartment while still living at Nottingham Cottage across the street, Meghan was shocked by the difference between the two brothers,” said Robert. “I wouldn’t say she was jealous but she was really surprised by William’s lavish lifestyle compared to where they lived.”

Experts believe this was the beginning of all the tensions that would follow between the two couples. At the time, Harry lived in one of the smallest properties on the estate, which had just two bedrooms and one bathroom, while the Duke and Duchess of Wales lived in a spacious apartment with 20 rooms.

In his explosive 2023 memoir Spare , Prince Harry revealed that he felt embarrassed about bringing his wife to live in this small house. “I was delighted to welcome Meghan to my home but also embarrassed. Nottingham Cottage is not a palace,” he said.

The couple then moved into Frogmore Cottage in 2017 after getting married. However, they were forced to give it back in 2023 after giving up their royal titles in 2020.
