HARRY and Meghan’s neighbours are reportedly “fed-up” with the pair and eager for the family to move on.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex settled in their £12 million Montecito mansion after controversially stepping down as working royals.

But locals don’t appear to be overly thrilled by the Sussex’s arrival since their move in 2020.

A neighbour who wished to remain anonymous expressed their dismay to the Montecito Journal saying they “cannot wait for her [Meghan] to go.”

The couple moved to US with their two children’s Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, after they dropped their royal duties in January 2020.

Society columnist for the journal Richard Mineards said he was disappointed he was unable to witness the couple on more occasions.

The writer lives where he describes as a “tiara’s toss” from the royals mega-mansion in River Rock.

He said: “It’s a very wealthy community, we have a lot of people giving a lot of money to our cultural organisations as well as charities, but we don’t see them.

“They live rather splendidly, it couldn’t be a nicer place.

“The community is waiting for them – they’re gnashing at the bit. The cachet of a Duke and Duchess!”

Mineards has scarcely seen the prominent pair but on occasion Prince Harry is spotted with his security detail when he’s riding his bike, talking a walk, or heading out for lunch.

Their absence has been noticed by multiple neighbours including PR and communications worker Barry Maher who described them as a “travelling soap opera.”

They also made headlines when US Navy veteran Frank McGinity was supposedly shunned at the gates

The 88-year-old claimed in a chapter of his memoir Get Off Your Street he attempted to share some films he made about the local history, thinking they may be of interest.

It turns out he was was mistaken, and was turned away by a security guard who passed on the royal snub.

Frank added: “The gate guy turned me away and wouldn’t take the film, just saying ‘they’re not interested.’

“I was trying to be neighbourly.”

The local shared his confusion with Harry and Megan’s decision to move to River Rock, which has baffled residents as it tends to be an older demographic

He added: “We don’t see them very much around here. It’s surprising they came here. People are typically older. It’s where the elephants come to die.”

Harry and Meghan have spoken out on the upcoming US election

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have broken their silence on the US election as they get involved with campaign

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex marked National Voter Registration Day by getting their organisation, Archewell, to write out to unregistered voters.

Staff sent out letters to encourage people to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

The statement read: “Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities.”

In the last US election, the couple were accused of endorsing Joe Biden after they filmed a video statement from the garden of their Montecito mansion.

The Duke and Duchess will remain neutral in the upcoming election after a public spat with Donald Trump back in 2020.
