Lady C Says Vanity Fair Article Was A Slap On The Cheek For Meghan MarkleLady Colin Campbell – more famously known as Lady C on X and other social media platforms – has weighed in on that Vanity Fair article on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that we can’t seem to stop talking about recently, and she hit all the major talking points. Well, as far as major talking points go.

If you ask the hardcore royalist, she’ll tell you that the article was created as a way to get back at Meghan Markle, who previously slammed the publication in 2017.

According to her, Meghan may have a short memory regarding the number of people she leaves stumbling in her wake, but they don’t.

Lady C Claims Meghan Markle Did Not Appreciate What the Vanity Fair Piece Did For Her

It’s 2017 again and Meghan is just off her “wild about Harry” issue with Vanity Fair. The problem is that Meghan wasn’t so wild about the “wild about Harry” headline and she reacted in a pretty ordinary way for her: she called them out as racists.

Fast forward to 2025 and they’ve plunged in a deep blow in the way of their article getting fans up to speed on the Sussexes’ affairs since exiting the royal family.

Weighing in on this, Lady C wrote, “It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold. I am told that @VanityFair has patiently waited seven and a half years to stick it to Meghan Markle, who, in 2017, accused them of racism in the form of their headline “Wild About Harry”, after they put her on their front page and gave her a degree of credibility and kudos which she actually lacked and to which she was not entitled.”

“This helped her to make it up the aisle with Prince Harry, and since then, Vanity Fair has appeared to be one of the most faithful keepers of her flame. But apparently all is not quite what it appears to have been.”

She further explained, “They’ve (i.e.Vanity Fair) never forgiven her or forgotten what she did. They were furious about it then and they’ve remained furious about it since. While she and Harry have picked people like @DanWootton and @PiersMorgan off their perches, and tried to do so less successfully with you, Vanity Fair have bided their time. I’m told they’re jubilant at how they’ve plunged the knife in.”

Lady C Calls Meghan Markle An “Inept Analyst”

Another thing that Lady C touched on was the way Meghan had completely misread her relationship with the publication, thinking that she’s completely wooed them over, despite biting their hand sometime back.

She wrote: “It also shows how inept an analyst of human nature Meghan is. She really seems to think she can use, misuse, exploit and knock people down, stepping on them without fear of the consequences, as she stomps ever higher upwards on the back of their contributions to fulfil her ambitions for fame and fortune. All the while, though, she fails to understand that people have longer memories than she does. And they’ll bide their time until they’re presented with the perfect opportunity to exact justice and unmask the creature for the mutant that she is.”

To round off her post, she thanked Vanity Fair for exposing Meghan Markle as “the piece of work you’ve known she was for the last seven and a half years.”
