King Charles and Prince William reportedly remain protective of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, despite the ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who reside in Montecito, California, have faced increasing speculation about their future as Donald Trump assumes leadership in the United States.
The newly elected president has been openly critical of Harry and Meghan in the past, particularly over their controversial actions involving the royal family. Trump previously labeled Harry as “disrespectful” toward the late Queen Elizabeth II and accused him of “betraying” the monarch.
In an interview with GB News, royal expert Sarah Louise Robertson shared insights into Trump’s potential approach to the California-based couple. Robertson suggested that while Harry and Meghan may not currently be on Trump’s radar, they could face challenges if they provoke him in the future.
“Trump can do anything at the moment. Harry and Meghan are so far down his list of priorities,” Robertson explained. “But if they were to make further remarks that upset him, I don’t think he would hesitate to take action.”
Robertson also highlighted Trump’s admiration for key members of the royal family, suggesting this sentiment might influence his actions. “He has a deep respect for the royals, and he likely wouldn’t want to do anything that could upset King Charles or Prince William,” she added.
However, Robertson issued a warning to Harry regarding his previous admissions about drug use, which could complicate his visa status in the U.S. She noted, “Trump doesn’t forget things like this. He might take steps where the Biden administration didn’t.”
