It was a lot of laughs at the start of the interview on ‘Late Night with Stephen Colbert‘, as Keanu Reeves showed off his funnier side.

Of course, Colbert just had to ask ‘The Matrix‘ star about the infamous picture taken of his in the early 2000s, as he was munching away on a sandwich looking depressed.

When asked about what was going on, in classic Keanu style, he claimed to be deep in thought and simply just trying to eat a sandwich out in New York, without being bothered.

 

Of course, that wasn’t the case, as the pic went absolutely viral, especially given all the tragedy and hardships Keanu has been forced to deal with in his past.

Reeves admitted, he prefers to live a private life and one away from the chaos of the paparazzi.

The interview would take a shocking twist towards the end. Playfully, Colbert asked Keanu about what he thinks takes place after death.

Colbert and the fans weren’t ready for his response, one that almost brought the crowd, the viewers at home, and Colbert himself to tears.

The crowd and Stephen Colbert went completely silent, with the host finally muttering under his breath, “wow.” He simply shook Keanu’s hand after the moment and proceeded to read to the outro of the interview. It was the perfect exit and in typical Keanu style, he had everyone completely emotional from his words.
