Fox News host and Gutfeld! panelist Kat Timpf is proving that no amount of online criticism or unsolicited advice can shake her determination. Despite being past her due date and expecting her first child any moment, Timpf continues to work, pushing back against those questioning her decision.
Defying Critics: “I Don’t Want to Stop Working”
In a fiery Instagram video, Timpf addressed the constant questions about why she hasn’t taken maternity leave yet.
“Yes, I’m still pregnant. Yes, I’m past my due date. Yes, this is the longest pregnancy of all time. Yes, I’m still working. No, I don’t want to stop working.”
She also dismissed the frequent advice to “get some sleep now,” explaining that she has struggled with sleep for years, making the suggestion pointless. “Stop telling me to sleep now because I can’t sleep, and that’s not how sleep works,” she vented.
Excitement and Anxiety as She Awaits Motherhood
As Timpf prepares to welcome her first child with her husband, Cameron Friscia, she admitted feeling both “excited” and “terrified.” Adding to the anticipation, the couple has chosen to keep the baby’s sex a surprise, opting to find out at birth.
Her video sparked an outpouring of support from fans and media colleagues. Meghan McCain cheered her on in the comments, writing, “Love you!! You’ve got this!!” Meanwhile, Ingrid Murdoch, wife of former pro wrestler Tyrus, added, “Can’t wait to hear if you have a boy or a girl. Equally wonderful but such different (children) to raise.”
Navigating Pregnancy Without ADHD Medication
In addition to her firm stance on working through pregnancy, Timpf has also made headlines for her decision to stop taking ADHD medication for the first time in 30 years. During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, she opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD at five years old and taking amphetamines ever since.
Due to concerns about how the medication could affect her unborn child, she decided to go off of it during pregnancy. While the transition hasn’t been easy, Timpf says it has given her a new perspective.
“It’s been weird meeting myself in this way. It’s a totally different experience, and I’m still adjusting,” she said.
Rogan praised her for handling the change well, telling her, “You seem like a wonderful person off the drugs. I don’t think you need it.”
Timpf hasn’t ruled out returning to medication after pregnancy but is considering staying off it a little longer to see how she manages.
The ADHD Boom in America
Timpf’s decision comes at a time when ADHD diagnoses and medication use in the U.S. are at an all-time high.
Recent data shows that nearly seven million children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with ADHD, an increase of one million since the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 alone, 41 million prescriptions for Adderall were written, up from 35.3 million in 2019. The U.S. accounts for nearly 69 percent of the global ADHD medication market, significantly outpacing Europe, where only 1 percent of French and British children are diagnosed with the disorder.

While Timpf’s pregnancy and ADHD journey have sparked debates, she remains unfazed by criticism. As she prepares for the next chapter of her life, she’s making it clear that she will live on her own terms—whether that means continuing to work until labor, rejecting unsolicited advice, or navigating life without medication.
