Huge Secret Prince Harry Shared With Journalist Prior To Meeting Meghan Markle Revealed

Prince Harry has always been the royal oddball, beloved for his antics, but generally known for not exactly toeing the line. In his peak, he did drugs, partied with strippers, and made generally bad choices that nearly always saw him plastered in the front pages.

Despite this, he was beloved and a favorite amongst royal fans. That is, until Megxit flipped everything upside down and he promptly became one of the least liked royals.

The question is, would Megxit have happened even without Meghan Markle? This royal expert’s revelation seems to agree so.

Prince Harry Always Had the Potential To Jump, Expert Claims

Royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills believes Prince Harry would have eventually left the royal family to do his own thing, even without Meghan’s persuasion.

It’s alright and true that the dad of two said he left to protect his family’s privacy, but Mills thinks the idea had been boiling inside him even before said family came along.

Recalling their chat during a New Zealand trip in 2015, Mills told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that she asked him about his feelings towards leaving the Royal Family and carving his own path.

He recalled, “I said to him ‘have you ever thought about moving away?’ He was like ‘yes, I’d love to. I’d love to move away. But I can’t because of what I need to do to support the Queen.’”

She continued: That has just stuck with me forever in terms of, he didn’t say it on camera, he just said it in a really candid chat with me. So whenever anyone says to me, that it was Meghan’s fault they left, that conversation always springs to mind because he always had it in him – this potential to jump. I think Meghan came along and said, ‘hold my hand and we’ll jump together.’”

Prince Harry Reveals There’s A “Process You Have To Go Through” To Have Children As A Royal

During the interview, Mills congratulated him on the arrival of Princess Charlotte and asked if having children would be something he’d like to do.

“Within the interview, I did sort of ask him whatever I wanted to ask him. And I said, Princess Charlotte’s just been born, would you like to have kids?” she said. “He came out with this brilliant line, ‘I’d love to have kids right now, but there’s a process that you have to go through’, to which his communications team took a bit of an intake of breath, like ‘oh my goodness, why did he say that?’

She added: “But then he also went on to say about how he just wanted to have someone alongside him to support him. Then a couple of years later, he met Meghan. But that line, it went global, it just went mad, but that was a great trip. That was Harry of old.”
