Zara and Mike Tindall are celebrating their mischievous middle child’s sixth birthday today.

Lena Elizabeth Tindall was born on June 18, 2018, at the Stroud Maternity Unit in Gloucestershire, weighing 9lbs 3oz.

While her name might be considered an unconventional choice for a member of the Royal Family, it actually echoes Princess Helena, the fifth child of Queen Victoria.

Her middle name pays tribute to her great grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

It was reported that the Duke of Sussex was chosen as the young royal’s godfather.

He and Meghan Markle attended Lena’s christening at St Nicholas Church in Cherington, Gloucestershire, in March 2019.

Lena takes after her father in enjoying rugby and plays for a local youth side.

And despite not having a royal title, Lena has made her presence known in the Royal Family with her playful antics.

She’s often caught pulling faces or causing a stir on royal outings, giving Prince Louis, also six, a run for his money.

Lena made her first official appearance during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

There she joined her sister, Mia, 10, and cousins when they attended the Jubilee Pageant.

The families were all seen to be having fun while watching the parade, but when Lena tried to pass her bag of sweets to Princess Charlotte, chaos broke out.

Both Savannah Phillips, 14, and Prince Louis tried to help themselves to one of the treats, earning a stern glare from Lena as she withdrew the bag and kept it away from them.

She then walked in between the seats to offer Prince George one of the candies.

Lena currently holds the 23rd position in the official line of succession to the British throne, behind her sister and ahead of her three-year-old brother, Lucas.

Her father previously revealed that she takes after him in enjoying rugby.

The former England international told the BBC‘s One Show that Lena, then four, was playing with a local under six side.

Speaking of Lena and Mia, who also plays rugby, Mike said: ‘It’s always hard through winter when it’s cold to get them out the door.’

He added: ‘I’ve found with the girls, that battle to still go and get muddy is still a battle. Once they are there, they’re okay.’
