PRINCESS Diana would have “knocked” Prince William and Prince Harry’s heads together amid their royal feud, claims royal expert Jennie Bond.
Jennie, who worked as BBC’s Royal Correspondent for 14 years, said the late Princess of Wales would have been the “bridge” between the warring brothers.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Jennie said: “Whilst supporting Harry and Meghan I think she [Diana] would have knocked their heads together, William and Harry, and said ‘come on boys, enough of this, you always probably promised to me you’re going to be best mates forever.’
“And I think we wouldn’t be in the pickle we are right now.”
The Duke of Sussex visited the UK last month for a three-day trip but declined to meet up with either King Charles or his older brother.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry stated he had wanted to see King Charles but wasn’t able to due to the monarch’s “full programme” – but made no mention of seeing his brother.
William is said to have been stung by his brother’s attacks in recent years and has reportedly not spoken to Harry since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
This follows Harry slamming the royal family in his bombshell Spare memoir where he claimed William ‘attacked’ him in a row over Meghan.
Royal expert Jennie told The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson that Diana wouldn’t have picked a side between William and Harry.
She continued: “You don’t pick a favourite between your kids, do you?
“But I think she would have been the bridge between them which would have made things never get to this impossible, impassable place where we are now.”
Recently, the brothers’ rift meant Prince Harry didn’t attend the wedding of close friend, the Duke of Westminster, who recently tied the knot at Chester Cathedral.
Prince Harry was said to have agreed not to attend to avoid clashes with Prince William, who was an usher, despite Hugh Grosvenor being godfather to both Prince George and Prince Archie.
Jennie added that Princess Diana would have supported Prince Harry’s decision to step down as a senior working royal with Meghan and relocate to California.
She continued: “I think she would have supported this decision because, let’s face it, she was on the brink of possibly getting to America, certainly forging her own life outside the royal family.
“So I think she would have supported him and I think she would have liked Meghan, a woman who has her own strong views and an independent woman.”

Jennie also said Meghan should have been given more time to decide if she could “hack” being a royal.
She compared Harry and Meghan’s hasty courtship with the slow-burn romance of William and Kate.
