Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were once known across the world as the IT couple.
After tying the knot in Malibu back in 2000, they were often the must-see duo on the red carpet during the 1990s until their divorce in March 2005.
“We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate,” they said in a statement at the time.
“For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media.
“This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another.”
What was the speculation reported in the media at the time? After citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split, Pitt quickly went public with his romance with co-star Angelina Jolie, causing fans to immediately suspect infidelity was at play.

‘Brangelina’, as they were known because couple names were all the rage in the 2000s, later denied these rumours, claiming they ‘fell in love’ whilst filming together, but didn’t act on their attraction until after he and Aniston had parted ways.
Pitt and Jolie share six children together: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
But Pitt and Jolie’s love story didn’t last as the Maria star filed for divorce in September 2016 after two years of marriage.
The pair have endured a bitter custody battle since, as well as disagreements over their jointly shared vineyard during the legal exchange.
One thing fans of Pitt and Aniston may know is that the Fight Club actor made an honest confession to Aniston about his relations with his then-cast mate Jolie.

This revelation was shared by none other than Courteney Cox — Aniston’s Friends co-star and long-term BFF — who told Vanity Fair that she was well aware of the connection her husband had formed with his cast-mate at the time.
“I don’t think he started an affair physically, but I think he was attracted to her,” Cox told the publication.
“There was a connection, and he was honest about that with Jen. Most of the time, when people are attracted to other people, they don’t tell.

“At least he was honest about it. It was an attraction that he fought for a period of time.”
