Meghan Markle teamed up with Adam Levine to surprise a young girl who lost all of her possessions.

In a video posted to Instagram on February 4, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that  “The Voice” star helped her get a special gift to a victim of the wildfires that raged through Los Angeles County.

Markle could barely contain her excitement in her video message to fans. In a short clip, she explained that something arrived in the mail that she had been waiting for. She explained that a few weeks earlier, she and her husband Prince Harry made a trip to Altadena, California, which was one of the heavily devastated areas by the wildfires. “We went to a community where all of the homes were left in ashes,” she said.

Markle shared that she encountered a mother and her 15-year-old daughter who had hoped to find one thing left in the rubble. “All she was looking for in her home was the Billie Eilish t-shirt from the concert that she had just gone to that she left in the washing machine or the dryer,” Markle said of the teen.

With the entire home destroyed, Markle told the girl, “I don’t know Billie Eilish, but I’m going to figure out how to get you this shirt.”

Markle said she thought of everybody that she knew and made a voice note and asked her celebrity friends if someone could please get the voice note to Eilish.

Markle then panned the camera to a stack of Billie Eilish t-shirts and other tour merch, including a lunchbox and autographed items. “You guys, I don’t even know what all this stuff means,” she said tearfully. “But it’s signed for her.”

“Huge thank you, Billie Eilish,” Markle continued. “This is going to mean so much to her. And honestly, to Adam Levine and Behati [Prinsloo], you guys helped get this over the line.”

In addition to the Levines, Markle thanked everyone who is helping the people of California in “big and small ways.” She added, “Just thank you so much. I’m gonna go email her mom now.”

Markle has been friends with Levine and his wife for years. The Maroon 5 singer and his family moved to Montecito, California, in 2021.

According to Hola, Levine bought a  $22.7 million mansion in the same neighborhood as Markle and Prince Harry. The 9-bedroom home is on 5.2 acres of land, per The Daily Mail.

Other nearby neighbors include Oprah Winfrey, who famously interviewed Markle and Prince Harry in the backyard yard of their Montecito home.

Levine returned to ”The Voice” in February 2025 after a five-year hiatus.
