Biggie, JAY-Z, Nas and “The Big 3” — Drake, J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar — all failed to make the top 5 on a recent Family Feud episode that asked contestants to name the best rapper of all time.
In a clip captured by a viewer and shared on TikTok, a member of singer Meghan Trainor’s team chimes in first to reply to Harvey’s question — “Who is the greatest rapper of all time?” — with a very confident, “J. Cole.”
However, to everyone’s surprise, Cole’s name doesn’t appear on the list at all. A member of the opposing team, led by Tori Kelly, then suggests Kendrick, who was also left completely off the list; as was Lil Wayne.
It wasn’t until the fourth guess, during which a member of Team Tori offered 2pac, that a single answer appeared on the survey board; he came in at number two. Kelly’s father then took a stab at it with Biggie as his answer, and found him in the number 8 slot.
JAY-Z came in as the 8th and final most popular answer, while Nas and Drake — both suggested by contestants — didn’t make the cut at all. Ice Cube was also offered as an incorrect answer.
“We in Rhode Island again, where we at?,” quips Harvey, suggesting the location where the survey might have taken place. He later tells Tori Kelly, “You’re thinking as a Hip-Hop head. I don’t think that’s who answered these questions.”
The final list, according to those who answered Family Feud‘s poll were, in order from first to last: Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, B.I.G., 50 Cent, and Hova.
“I just wanna apologize to the entire Hip Hop community,” Harvey jokes right before revealing the list. “JAY-Z’s last, what in the world?”
