Shocking Twist! Nobody Wants This Ending Finally Explains Joanne and Noah’s Fate

Netflix’s Nobody Wants This has left fans with plenty of questions as they wonder whether Joanne and Noah stay together – here is a breakdown of the season finale.

5 Ways Joanne And Noah Had A Great Relationship In Nobody Wants This (& 5 Ways They Didn't)

Netflix’s new romantic comedy-drama, Nobody Wants This, is making waves with its unique storyline inspired by the real-life experiences of its creator, Erin Foster. The show centers around an unlikely romance between a candid, agnostic sex podcaster and an unconventional rabbi.

The series features Joanne (Kristen Bell), who finds herself unexpectedly falling for Noah (Adam Brody), despite their stark differences. Their undeniable chemistry, however, propels their relationship to unexpected heights.

Throughout the series, there were numerous instances where it seemed like the couple was on the brink of breaking up, largely due to Noah’s family’s disapproval of Joanne’s religious beliefs or lack thereof.

The constant back-and-forth left viewers in suspense about whether the couple would still be together by the season finale. After a heartfelt conversation, it seems they chose to prioritize their love for each other.

In the final episode, Joanne and her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) attend Miriam’s (Shiloh Bearman) bat mitzvah, where Joanne confronts Rebecca (Emily Arlook) about her past relationship with Noah. Rebecca warns Joanne about the responsibilities that come with dating a rabbi and assures her that she has “had won” Noah’s heart.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Morgan and Noah’s brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) remains awkward.

However, it appears their friendship stays platonic, as they do not pursue a romantic relationship since Sasha is already married.

In a twist of fate, Noah embraced the role of head rabbi with joy, only for Joanne to confront her own truth.

Joanne confessed she could no longer pursue converting to Judaism because it didn’t resonate with who she truly was, leading to their split.

As she laid down an ultimatum, telling Noah he couldn’t have both her and his new position as head rabbi, her stance was clear: she refused to put him in a position to choose.

While Noah found himself unable to fully rejoice over his newfound status due to Joanne’s absence haunting him, Joanne seemed resolved, content with her choice.

Defying expectations, Noah raced after Joanne, choosing love over ambition, admitting he “couldn’t have both” his professional aspirations and his ‘true’ love, sealing their reunion with a kiss.
