The Prince and Princess of Wales have slowly begun introducing their kids to the spotlight, but they are taking it one event at a time. George has been spotted at a couple of soccer games with his father, while Princess Charlotte recently accompanied her mother to Wimbledon.

British royal family news shows that Prince George is following in his father William, Prince of Wales’ footsteps. Both will be king, and right now it looks like the monarchy is in the best hands possible in the coming decades.

George and William often appear in public together, and fans have noticed their adorable twinning. Not only do they dress alike, they share a lot of the same body language.

Body Language Expert Nicole Moore told The List that “People often subconsciously imitate the body language of those they are closest to. So Prince George taking on the mannerisms of his father Prince William is definitely an indicator that the two are close.”

One example of George taking on his dad’s mannerisms came at a 2023 sports event. George and William sat side by side and were photographed drinking water from glasses containing a lemon wedge.

One fan took to X to note how alike the future kings are, posting “Seriously, these two mirror each other.” Another poster commented: “Like father, like son.”

The royal family are professional hand wavers, it’s part of the job description! In 2015 William took his eldest son to meet his newborn sister, Princess Charlotte, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Fans noted that during the outing William showed the toddler how to perfect his wave, and they even dressed alike in matching white shirts and blue sweaters. According to Moore a big part of body language “is learned via observing” and in this case George came through with flying colors.

William And George Attend Sporting Events Together

In 2023 Prince George and Prince William took in a soccer game between Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.

Not only were the father-son duo dressed alike, it was clear to fans that George intentionally mimicked his nervous dad, matching his gestures to William’s as the game played on.

In fact, George made many gestures in unison with his dad as they watched the dramatic game. When William placed his hands on his face, George did the same. And, when Willaim watched the match gape mouthed, George imitated him.
